Cure Terms Glossary

An accelerator is something that enhances the action of a curing agent to speed up the resultant cure. The nature and mode of action of the accelerator depends on the curing agent involved, and a wide range of substances may fall into the category of accelerators. Their action is quite specific, and an accelerator for one cure system may be totally inactive in another. Thus the term means something different in different curing technologies.
